Agility refers to the ability to explosively start, decelerate, - TopicsExpress

Agility refers to the ability to explosively start, decelerate, change direction, and accelerate again quickly while maintaining body control and minimizing loss of speed. It also refers to the ability to coordinate several sport specific tasks simultaneously, like dribbling a basketball through a full-court press while looking for an open man. The problem with a lot of athletes/coaches is that they think agility is determined by genetics and find it difficult to significantly improve and fall into the category of only conducting strength training and conditioning in the off-season. Agility involves important neuromuscular adaptations that can be developed only over time with many repetitions. Athletes, make sure to incorporate a solid agility program to your off-season training as well! #athlete #toronto #strengthnu
