Aging. Some of us cringe at the mention of the word. Not really my favorite thing to do either. But, we all know it is inevitable. So why is it so hard to accept? We are tempted to invest major bucks in facelifts, booty lifts, cheek implants and even botox big-stiff-lips, but do we really feel younger? Inside. Do we feel younger inside? Surgery doesnt make most people look younger, it makes them look different. In our search for happiness, we often think it can be found by altering the way we look. Linda Bellamy once said Plenty of people miss their share of happiness, not because they never found it, but because they didnt stop to enjoy it. Lets stop and enjoy it today. Some say age gracefully. I think not! Let’s age with a smile on our face, a sparkle in our eye, laughter on our lips, adventure in our soul and a high five to everyone within reach. When we accept the truth of “it is what it is” then we can relax. Theres no gimmick. Nothing to buy. No hoops to jump through. No stiff upper lips that make us talk funny. Just be YOU….wrinkles, saggy necks, baggy bellies, and fabulously pedicured feet. After all, our generation is going to be filled with really cool old people! ♪♫..and I think to myself (pause) what a wonderful world! ♪♫ Isaiah 46:4 “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am God, I am God who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” TammyWhitehurst
