Agree only with part of this video, viz., the part about gender stereotyping. As the father of a girl, I am certainly not going to restrict what she can do in terms of her interests, education, etc. But again, as a father, I AM going to teach her not to be out late, and not go to certain places, and be careful around boys. I am not willing to trade ANYTHING for her safety. Rape is a fact today; the world IS a dangerous place; and women ARE weaker than men. Those who are weaker HAVE to take precautions. Doesnt mean Im going to say she cannot leave the house after 5, of course. That isnt even practical in todays world. The video suggests that placing even reasonable restrictions such as not staying out late is wrong as it means youve let the misogynists win. Sorry, but I disagree. My daughter isnt going to be the sacrificial lamb in your feminist culture war.
