Agreed. Yet I also think we need to address the COMMUNAL aspects of remedying such situation rather than only individual. Many individuals operating alone for good maketh evolution not. Something else is required, a necessity to come together, to rise, to know, to believe. Because it is still individuals who are going to contribute to the collective , and serve the imperatives of of their given times, some kind of discussion needs to be broken open on convergence of interest, on community-building aspects, on politics. Governance and politics are frightening, and there seems to be a widespread fear in humans anywhere with regards to issues of governance, collective contribution, accountability. This aspect, I believe, is deadly important for we are continuing to wait for Messiah and messiah is not coming. How do we negotiate our own awakening within our own communities? How can we assure that we not only consider making ourselves invulnerable, but also become our brothers and sisters keepers so that they dont live in mortal fear of our presence? And dont have to spend precious time in protecting themselves from our provocations and menace, and recover from the blows that we deal? I am asking to look at the issue of cultivating a Giving society from the flip side: enabling the other to grow and drop their resistance by becoming benevolent and kind and merciful and provisional to them. I think those talks about appropriate governance and citizenship need be resurrected. Love in the time of #ISIS!
