If you are in areas where rainfall is ok please take care of your crops. Every grain will fetch a higher price soon. Those of us in the drier southern and central parts of the country must pay attention to the weather. This is one season where every drop of water must be effectively used by our crops. If you are keeping livestock ensure you plan for stockfeed and water storage. Watch your stocking rates. Dont hestate to off load some animals so as to balance the feed ration. The reduction in fuel prices will surely be a relief most motorised farm activities. But the majority of the smallholders wont enjoy this relief for unless other commodity and service charges are reduced too.
