Ah...Remember Back When... Memories of 2011 as OTC entered the Cuyahoga County Fair Demolition Derby for the 1st time. Same type of car, former police car with a twist – this was a movie stunt car used in Spiderman filming here in Cleveland. That derby was held on August 14th and it rained, poured, and rained some more before the championship battle at 7pm, where it rained again. Saying that the track was sloppy is an understatement. OTC finished 7th overall in that competition. Students who worked on the car were covered in mud from head to toe, and said they loved every minute of it. Expectations are high this year that OTC will bring back the championship trophy with our military tribute car and OTC automotive instructor, Carl Shuttenberg at the wheel. First 30 current OTC students with an ID will get into the derby grandstands for free. Be at the grandstands ticket gate at 6:30pm to get your ticket. Admission to fair is $7. Derby admission is $10 additional for the 7pm championship smash-up!
