Ah-choo! When someone sneezes in your presence, what do you say? - TopicsExpress

Ah-choo! When someone sneezes in your presence, what do you say? You either say Guzundheit! or you say, God bless you! And for good reason. For a brief moment, a sneeze interrupted a persons heartbeat. The mindless response that we automatically say is actually a prayer for God to care for the person. The dictionary definition of bless is to consecrate, sanctify, or bestow divine favor upon something or someone. We ask God to bless our homes. We ask Him to bless our nation. We can also entreat the Father to bless our children. Have you ever wondered why we say, Bless the Lord? How are we capable of blessing the Lord? Now theres a conundrum. But wait! If the Lord blesses us (and He does), then when we are called to bless Him (which we are), it means that we are invited to return the compliment. With words, attitudes, behavior, and songs on our lips, we willingly reflect back His goodness as a way to honor His greatness. In other words, we are showering our Creator with adoration and gratitude. So let everything we do and say bless His holy name. Enter His gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and bless His name. Psalm 100:4 (NLT) youtube/watch?v=OL_7JG1pZlY
