Ah, one more night of NOT seeing any Aurora Borealis - roaming out several times to check. I got all excited at the red glow on the Sapphires, but it was just the moon coming up, and it was very bright, to be waning. I settled in on the day bed, so I wouldnt wake Ray - and at 4:30 am, BOTH dogs landed on me, all concerned. Thats 141 pounds of worried dog, so they stayed put while I went out on the porch - and heard a fox and her chilren , traveling through. Anytime I wake up, I have to make a little trip, and when I return, they are both spread out on that skinny little daybed, pretending that theyve been there, and asleep, all the while. So I retired to the couch. Back up at 7:30, it is 36 degrees, and ready to decide if to attempt to clip Charlies spurs for his new home, or let them do it. The Adopters have two cute little girls, a lot of chickens, and one other rooster they swear is gentle. I hate to see him go, hes been with us a long time, but I know he misses his girls.
