Ah, the memories... Joey Miserable and the Worms was a band - TopicsExpress

Ah, the memories... Joey Miserable and the Worms was a band that coulda, shoulda. I knew some of the guys in the band (including the drummer in this one whose name I tragically cannot recall. He was a nice guy who once dragged me out of a Sunday jam at Dan Lynchs to give me a much-needed dressing down about my sloppy drumming.) This video was shot before I met anyone in the band but it takes place in Nightingales, which some may remember was immortalized in the liner notes of the first Spin Doctors album. I spent many a Sunday night there jamming with whoever showed up. The band was tight, funky outfit but apparently Joey really was miserable and left the band (he had some mental problems, if I remember.) They tried to make it without Joey, even getting a track onto a compilation album of local New York bands, but they didnt get their big break. Chuck Hancock, who was the frequent sax player and my erstwhile room mate, is not in this one. Milo ran the jam for a while and he also was a really nice guy. youtube/watch?v=3lEKFs-KEzM
