Aha... I shouldnt have given FB so much credit. Ive got the quality issue under better control now. Sure, my photos still look better on Flickr or Google+ — by far — but was overthinking the problem with FB. Simply using an unreasonable quality setting for the photos I upload actually offsets the egregious compression theyre applying to all my photos. In other words, I was thinking perceptually, they are thinking mechanically. So, Ill still move my photos to G+ or Flickr in the future, for now, I can at least finish out the current album underway with slightly better photos.
