Ahab Smooch Ragnar Staudinger, the first of his name, has departed in glorious death at the age of 87 (16.5 in human.) his deeds are as follows: he swam rivers, untied his chains, herded everything, escaped every kennel, rope, and bondage, lived unbound, emerged glorious from combat with at least 6 porcupines (and four times from the same one,) battled fires, defended his family, repelled the coyotes, rounded up sheep, found the lost arrow of the Valley, and was the kindest dog I ever knew. His deeds shall live in song forever. May the Dogkeries carry you home to Valhalla, Smooch. You were the best.
