Ahh New Orleans....!!! Where most streets downtown smell like cigars and every cigar smells like ass. Where walking down the street with your beverage is just the norm and every happy hour far exceeds one hour. Where every single restaurant in the city has The best Gumbo in all of New Orleans! Where there are entire stores devoted to Hot Sauce.....upon sampling you can still taste the burn thirty minutes later! Where the average height of the city is three feet below sea level! Where wearing a ALABAMA Crimson Tide cap brings you A LOT of attention!!! Where jazz bands set up barricades in the middle of the street to play. The only place I know that can successfully advertise Swamp tours! And where you can take a cooking class in the morning and they put a jug of beer on your table as a refreshment! (Can you believe people left beer on their table??!!) But what a place! Me typically, would not have bothered visiting a city like this, but Im sure glad Meredith planned our stop here. Highly recommended to anyone considering it.
