Ahmad Mohsen wrote regarding online education at Liverpool University as a response to a blog: "Myth 3: Online education is inferior in quality" In terms of knowledge, think about the following: you need to go through 8 modules each of 8 weeks. in each week you do 2 researches (answering DQs). Each research should be supported by 3 resources. You need participate to discussions 3 days a week in which case you read more 3 researches. That leaves you with (2*3 + 3)*8*8 = 576 specialized researches at least during the program. You actually write 128 own researches. in Dissertation, you read at least 30 researches which leaves you with 576+30 = 606 researches read. Books? you will ready at least 8 scientific ones." Most of the time online contributions are at least 5-8 per week for me. You have to be a strongly motivated, self-directed learner. And, needless to say, one needs to explain research, not summarize what others have written. Assessment is fairly strict and I love it this way :)
