Ahmed advises LG poll candidates not to be selfish ilorin.info/fullnews.php?id=8262 Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed has charged all candidates in the upcoming local government council elections in the state to think more of the people oriented programmes rather than personal benefits. The governor gave this charge in Share when the PDP chairmanship candidate in Ifelodun local government council, Alhaji Babatunde Salami, led other candidates in the councils election to pay Sallah homage to the governor in his home. According to the governor, a successful candidate must map out strategies to positively and directly touch the lives of the electorate immediately after the elections, as Kwarans are expecting much from political office holders. While noting that God will not forgive anyone who squander or mismanage the little available resources in the state, Ahmed, however, laid emphasis on the spirit of love and welfare of citizenry in order to ensure that they live a better life. The governor, who promised to remain resolute in delivering real dividends of democracy to the people through a more aggressive infrastructure development and renewed rural transformation, urged political office holders to be their brothers keepers. In his reaction, Alhaji Babatunde Salami pledged to carry the people along through open and transparent administration if elected.
