Aho ewithai wongithe....my name is Oliver Evan Saunsoci. My father is the late Oliver Saunsoci Jr. and my mother is the late Charlotte Lasley Saunsoci. My grandparents were the late Oliver and Mae Blackbird Saunsoci and the late Henry and Bertha Wolfe Lasley. Id like to announce my candidacy for Omaha Tribal Council! If elected I plan on working and achieving towards these goals. 1. Completion of audits 2. Building and sustaining a cooperative Tribal Council that will work together for ALL UmoNhoN 3. Revision of the constitution to provide accountability transparency, and to provide protection of rights for all UmoNhoN I believe these three goals are achievable and will lay the foundation to provide the progress for the UmoNhoN Tribe. I believe in service to my community; I have volunteered my time n efforts at the wellness center, annual Hedewachi and UmoMhoN Nation public school language dept. I have been sober and drug free for 23 years and dedicated my life to my family and thank wakoNda for showing me a way of life! Working for the Environmental protection department and serving on the UmoNhoN Nation Public school board of education has provided me to gain knowledge and experience in working with tribal , state and federal entities. If elected I will put UmoNhoN niashinga first! I ask for your support and to vote on October 17th. I welcome your comments and be willing to visit in my home or yours.
