Aht Uh Mi Head was one of nine tracks from Shuggie Otis 1973 album Inspiration Information on Epic. The album has been described as light-years ahead of its time; with its nod to Sylvester Stewarts funk styles, overlay of haunting melodies and use of one of the earliest drum programs, it all combined to create an aural experience unlike anything heard at that time, except possibly from Herbie Hancock. As is often the case with LPs at this level of creativity, it tanked, and Shuggie was dropped by Epics parent company, Columbia. He did a lot of session work in later years, but never again attempted anything this ambitious. You can only ask what if. The album has since gained a huge cult following, as music styles and fans have gradually caught up to Shuggie. youtube/watch?v=avw50zY4fxc
