Ah—so Stephen Harper has said that I might be hiding my anti-Semitism behind a veil of outrage at the Government of Israel’s human rights abuses in Gaza and the West Bank. The thought police can tell what you are really thinking when you speak out against war crimes committed by Dick Cheney and his cronies—you’re anti-American, or a self-hating Caucasian—and if you throw in Blair and the other WMD-lying idiots in the UK then you might be anti-Anglo. So, anti-Israel is anti-Semitism—interesting. And speaking out against countries that cloak themselves in the righteousness of Islam while they take away or inhibit the rights of women and those in the LGBT community is anti-Muslim. Maybe I am just an outright bastard for speaking out against these brain-washed and brain-washing troglodytes—but then again, Jesus was a bastard if I read my (sometimes) Good Book properly—and maybe that statement makes me anti-Christian. Mr. Harper should keep in mind that he is a public servant and heading to foreign countries and then spouting his personal feelings (or sycophantic drivel) about politics and religion on behalf of Canadians is insulting and unnecessary. He should stay at home and continue to do what he does best—ruin the country for future generations. We have a lot to be proud of and thankful for in this country—and no, I am not talking about snowboarders and hockey and Timmy’s (all of which I like), I am talking about our legacy of ground-breaking and exciting environmental science research and development. We can all be proud of our achievements that have been brought about in part by our wonderful education system and a society that tries to be inclusive and respect the rights of the individual while seeing to well-being of every citizen. Wait—what’s that you say—we don’t need to have scientists who work on behalf of us and try to see to our well-being and the health of the ecosystems we inhabit and affect. Right—I forgot—we’re becoming idiots. Don’t believe me—check out this link: stream.aljazeera/story/201401152311-0023315
