Aiden finished his last dose of chemo for this round this afternoon. We can tell he is pretty miserable, as he is really grouchy and not himself. He has been very upset this week about having to stay in the hospital. He really misses home and his doggy. We tried to FaceTime with the dog last night and it wouldnt work. He was very upset. Besides generally not feeling well, he is doing pretty well and is continuing to eat and drink a little. He already needs hemoglobin and will get that before we go home tomorrow. We hope to be home early tomorrow evening. We have an appointment with the James on Tuesday to consult with a doctor there about the radiation. We hope to get all the planning and mapping done, and start the following Monday. I got a call today from someone in patient relations who told me how all the wonderful teachers at Whittier (who raise money for the James every year) are looking out for Aiden so there is someone meeting us in the lobby and paying for valet parking. Thank you for Lisa, Pete and Alex Van Allsburg for bringing us dinner in the hospital and helping to cheer us up! We lost our little friend Jake this week to Neuroblastoma. Our hearts ache for his parents and siblings. Please pray for the Hickford family.
