Air Force confers medical assistance to Tarlaqueños TARLAC CITY, March 24 (PIA) – In a bid to reinforce the Internal Peace and Security Plan (IPSP)-Bayanihan health programs of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Tactical Operations Group 3 (TOG 3) of the Philippine Air Force conferred medical assistance to the residents of Brgy. Cut-Cut II. Accordingly, a total of 2,050 Tarlaqueños benefitted from the commencement of the activity, which respectively brought assistance to 150 patients for “Operation Tule” and 1,900 patients for the medical and dental mission. Along with check-up and pharmacy counseling, free medicines and vitamins were distributed during the conduct of the program. TOG 3 Commander Col. Stephen Parreño said the activity set sights on bringing assistance and support to the underprivileged, who suffer from health care problems. “We want to reach the communities and make comprehensive assistance programs, especially in depressed areas. We actually identify deprived localities, so that, everybody will benefit and experience equal opportunities on attaining their needs,” Col. Parreño added. Meanwhile, 1st Air Commander Major Gen. Eusaquito Manalo described the initiative as a “beginning of many valuable IPSP-Bayanihan undertakings of the unit.” “With our IPSP-Bayanihan programs, we intend to help our fellow Filipinos and to uplift our country. And doing so, this is just one of our major activities under IPSP. We want to see everybody working hand in hand for the welfare of everyone,” Major Gen. Manalo explained. Anchored on the theme “Bayanihan para sa kalusugan at kalinisan tungo sa maunlad na Bayan”, TOG 3 launched the program through the support of various government and private organizations. Among those were the following: Air Defense Wing, Northern Luzon Command, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Philippine Red Cross, Philippine National Police-Tarlac Office, 3rd Mechanized Group, ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc., GMA Kapuso Foundation, Inc., RiteMed, SM Foundation, Inc., Talon General Hospital, Unilab, Jelexie Bakeshop, Gardenia, Jollibee, The Generics Pharmacy, Chow-King, and Huat Chan Tea House.
