AirAsia Group CEO, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes sent out a thank you note to the public for supporting the airline through the last few weeks following the QZ8501 disaster. The past few weeks have been the most difficult weeks of my life since starting AirAsia 13 years ago, and I wanted to reach out and thank you for the warmth and support given to all of us. Your messages of love and encouragement strengthen our resolve to be better and we will continue to provide updates as the investigation goes on, he said in the e-mail. He added that the airline is committed to reviewing and improving their products and services. We are more focused than ever to provide you with nothing but the best and even in our toughest times, we will continue to be the worlds best and be better for you. Together with my 17,000 AirAsia Allstars, we ask that you join us in praying for the family members and loved ones of those on board QZ8501, said Tony. On Dec 28, the Singapore bound AirAsia flight from Surabaya went missing with 162 passengers. It was later discovered that the flight had crashed, killing all passengers. Divers from the Search and Rescue team found the date voice recorder of the flight on Sunday, and the black box on Monday.
