Airfreight Export Clerk Birmingham - Commutable from Solihull, Shirley, Hal Green, Selley Oak, Kings Heath, Yardley, Coleshill, Coventry, Redditch. Salary – c£23k We are seeking people with operational Airfreight experience that are commercially minded and able to work to tight deadlines. As well as performing the daily operational role, you will be able to harvest and develop existing accounts and capitalise on new opportunities, ensuring that a high standard of customer care is prevalent at all times. • Day to day running of Airfreight operations • Responsible for operations of key account – start to finish (quote to delivery) • Liaison with airlines, courier, hauliers & 3rd party logistics • Customs clearances and entries • Calculating and negotiating Freight quotations • Using internal & external tracking systems to update the customer at all times You will have experience in Airfreight operations, handling Exports. Good knowledge of Customs entries and clearances are essential, as is previous experience in handling key accounts. You should have a pro-active attitude and be able to plan ahead, with excellent customer service skills.
