Aj Fargnoli wants me to post the 10 albums that have influenced me the most. Here goes nothing. 1. The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me - Brand New I know who wouldve thought. If it wasnt for this album I would be a completely different person and I probably wouldnt be involved in music at all. So everyone please direct your complaints to Jesse Lacey. 2. Daisy - Brand New I still remember skipping class when they put up the streams for this album on myspace and just sitting in my car in awe. 3. Read Music, Speak Spanish - Desaparecidos This was the first album that opened me up to music as a socio-political commentary and it still helps guide my views on a lot of things. 4. Lavender Town - Free Throw I wouldnt be playing whiny baby emo music if it wasnt for these guys, so everything is Cory Castros fault. 5. Like A Virgin Losing A Child - Manchester Orchestra My first exposure to Andy Hull and one of the first records that really got me trying to work on my voice. 6. The Lonesome Crowded West - Modest Mouse This album proved to me that a record can be beautiful without being overly melodic and having shiny production. 7. Who You Are Is Not Enough - Athletics My favorite post-rock record, if I ever have a spare 20 or so minutes I jam this. The reverse delay they use on this record is perfect. 8. Somewhere At The Bottom Of The River Between Vega And Altair - La Dispute I am not ashamed that I love this record. Even without any vocals, I would still love this record, its put together so well and this was one of the first concept albums I ever jammed. 9. Meridional - Norma Jean I only had a CD player in my car for senior year of high school and this one was always in it. Gets me pumped for sports and stuff. 10. Grow Up, Dude - You Blew It! These guys were the first house show I ever threw and because of that I met Jameson Mohr and things have never been the same because hes a goob. Now tell me your 10 Jameson. (inb4 Linkin Park)
