Akc Fss July Board Meeting - Approved Rules Applying to Dog Shows Chapter 3, Section 22, - Certificate of Merit The Board VOTED to amend the Rules Applying to Dog Shows Chapter 3, Section 22, to provide for the awarding of additional Certificate of Merit titles. CM title initials will be followed by a numeric designation indicating the quantity of times the dog has earned the requirements of the CM title as defined in Section 22. Currently the Certificate of Merit Title requires earning 15 points. This will become effective January 1, 2014. If you finish your dog with 16 points; then the "extra" point will start counting for your CM2. There are several dogs who currently have earned more than 15 points, they will be grandfathered into.
