Akhuwat--The best microfinance organisation I have come across. While Grameen bank and Kashf have been collecting awards and accolades Ahkuwat has been quietly doing its work. Most of the well known microfinance organisations charge an interest rate of 25% to 40% which, to me, is unethical as the target market is the most vulnerable group of the society. Akhuwat is 100% interest free loan and there is no compulsion to return the loan. The success rate of return is over 99.87% which defies high risk argument/logic put forward by the other microfinance providers. Today it is much easier to contribute to Akhuwat than ever before.
