Akin Etin- Ojehomon Sr I have read so many remarks from Southerners about the pervasive illiteracy in Northern Nigeria. It is a sad commentary, not only on the Northern Leaders but on Southerners who would place the blame of illiteracy on Children. By now the Federal Government should have removed the responsibility of Educating Northern Children from the Northern Leadership and Islamic schools which are now becoming breeding grounds for Terrorists. Islamic Schools should be secondary to Western styled Education and not the Primary source of Education for Muslim children. Furthermore the Federal Government should Launch an all out campaign to see that all children get a primary and secondary education. We are a Secular Nation.
