Akron Police Detectives have identified two of three suspects involved in the death of Darryl T. Trammell, 39, of East Brookside Avenue. One suspect, Dustin Terrel Melton, 29, of Chalker Street in Akron, has been arrested. Melton was charged with aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary and was booked into the Summit County Jail. The second suspect, Michael Jermaine Crockett, 23, of Socrates Place in Akron, has been arrested. He was charged with aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary and turned himself into the Summit County Jail. The third suspect has yet to be identified. Around 10:00 p.m. on August 8, 2014, three males entered an unlocked door at Trammell’s residence on East Brookside Avenue. Once inside, shots were fired and Trammell was struck in the head and shoulder. The suspects ransacked Trammel’s house and took his cell phones and misc. hats before fleeing the residence. Trammel was transported to Akron General Medical Center where he later died.
