Al hamdu lillah a dear sister told me some beautiful stories of our beloved Hazrat Jee Shaykh Zulfiqar sahib (hafidhahuAllahu Taalaa) and his deep adherence to the sunnah of Nabi sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam that I want to share to all. Which will only reveal 1% of the greatness of this wonderful man inshaa Allah. His student and khalifa Shaykh Muhammad Aslam Sahib (hafidhahuAllahu Taalaa) narrates these incidents of his. Once Shaykh Aslam sahib was putting on a pair of socks on Hazrat jees feet (or taking it off) and he happened to put the left sock on first (which is contradictory to sunnah). Hazrat Jee jumped up in shock and reprimanded him as if though some disaster had happened. Another time Hazrat Jee noticed that Shaykh Aslam had written something with a blue pen and Hazrat Jee reprimanded him severely saying that Dont you know? You have studied at madrasah, all of these sciences and you dont know that when Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam sent letters to those emperors the ink was black! Allahu Akbar he said writing in black was sunnah... subhanAllah this doesnt even cross our minds but Hazrat Jee was so particular about it. Al hamdu lillah Shaykh Aslam sahib also mentioned that Hazrat Jee never once looked at the face of his shaykh without wudhu. Once he was sleeping in the same room as his shaykh... he remained awake all night fearing that if he fell asleep his wudhu will break... perhaps for this reason Allah has given him a huge status in this dunya... Many are there who claim sunnah sunnah but very live to it. And I am 100% sure that whoever spends just a little amount of time observing Hazrat jee will testify that he is one of the greatest lovers of RasoolAllah salLAllahu alaihi wa sallam living today inshaa Allah. Our buzurgs say that one of the quickest ways to Allah is through deep adherence of sunnah. While I am at it, let me narrate another beautiful incident I read in one of Hazrat Jees book. There was a model and an art student I think who came to listen Hazrat Jees bayan (in Kazakhstan or Kyrgyzstan I think). Through his words Allah changed their hearts and they cried out of tawbah. They did bayt with him and subhanAllah immediately left the university and their previous occupations. Hazrat Jee advised that they both marry each other. SubhanAllah this couple became very learned in deen and are probably still serving the deen in their area. This story made me laugh ecstatically, I was thinking that Allah... what a shaan of our Hazrat jee... even people like this change by Your will. May Allah Taalaa allow us to love His awliya and grant us suhbat al saaliheen. Ameen ya Rabb!
