Alabama cop doesnt Arrest Woman caught stealing eggs; Buys Her Food Instead I wonder why more stories like this dont come out in the media? I guess ppl dont get to notice enough the acts of kindness as much as an arrest. Its not attractive enough or exhilarating to get them all curious and excited to get their phones out and start filming like this person did. Also we dont get to know more often about these kind acts because most good hearted ppl do good to others without seeking praise and recognition. So in other words they keep it to themselves. I KNOW first hand this act of kindness coming from cops happens more often than what you would think. They are the ones out there in the streets in direct contact with all the suffering and despair that goes on within our communities that no one knows about and that definitely doesnt hit the news. In their lifetime they have seen and experienced so many horrible things (seen murder, countless suicides, shootings, domestic violence, rape, child abuse, and a lot moooree random crazy stuff) that I as a regular civilian would not even want to have a glimpse of what they have witnessed. Its too much for any heart to bare with. Most have a good kind heart, even though they wear their tough skin as a shield (because what they experience day in and day out as cops changes them and that is their mechanism of defense and alertness), but most do feel compel to HELP those in need going (completely) out of their way to help a fellow human being. (Something that is not required from them at their job by their departments but they do it from the heart and their own money if needed). If this giving of themselves (what more giving than willing to give their lives in the line of duty for you and for me) wasnt a natural trait in them or a calling they wouldnt have chosen the career they chose as cops to be serving and protecting. I suggest more people start sharing positive things that cops have done for them, or for someone they know. Not every cop is a bad cop. Did a cop help you when you or a love one when you/they were caught in a bad situation? Or maybe you witnessed an act of kindness like the one on this video? Please share it! Lets shine the light on the good ones and by doing so we can also be teaching some cops that have forgotten to do good and go beyond their duties that situations can be handle differently if looked at them for what they really are and not what for what they seem to be.
