Alabama fan? Auburn fan? We can all take great satisfaction in where our teams are. Two weeks wont be the end of the world for either. Alabama has had a run that has been spectacular ... but it wont last forever. Auburn has had a fantastic year that has exceeded everyones expectations. Much congrats is in order. So if neither wins another game this year, there is much to be happy about. But folks wont be happy. An acquaintance of mine had a son who had a car wreck today. His son was critically injured. He is, right now, on life support. I understand this will only last another day or two while family is given the opportunity to say their final goodbyes. Try to keep things in perspective. Friends get ugly with friends. It also affects family relationships. It is a game. Cherish your friends and families. Dont let an Alabama/Auburn game come between you and people you care about. And dont be the antagonist. Hearts are aching today for something that matters. And if you pray, offer a prayer for the family of this young man. Sometime between now and the Iron Bowl, a mutual friend will bury their son.
