Amen Good morning -̶»̶̥·̵̭̌✽̤̈̊Ayomide Michael✽̤̥̈̊·̵̭̌»̶̥-̶ : amen -̶»̶̥·̵̭̌✽̤̈̊Ayomide Michael✽̤̥̈̊·̵̭̌»̶̥-̶ : Man may forget, but not God “ Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgot him.” Genesis 40:23 (KJV) When Joseph interpreted the dream and said to the Chief butler in Gen. 40:14 “But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house”, a ray of hope might have been kindled in his spirit. He probably began to plan how to start his life afresh. Think about it, a benefactor of your act of benevolence is suddenly a Special Adviser to the President in your country, of course you will expect some help from that person. So Joseph was not wrong to expect a ray of hope; but think of how he must have felt when one week became one month and a month progressed to a year and a year became two years and he heard nothing from the butler again. It is enough to be bitter. He would probably had thought through his past and wonder why it had become a “curse” to live right. He probably remembered many people who did sharp practices and had escaped, yet he was suffering for choosing to be right. Are you in this position? Don’t give up. Man may forget, but not God. If the butler had remembered Joseph and helped him out of prison, where would they have found him when the King had a dream? You might think you are in a cooler and opportunities are passing you by. Don’t panic, God is keeping you for something greater. Just the same way they sought for Joseph; they will seek for you. The condition will change. You will not end in frustration. Light is coming at the end of the tunnel. Hold on to the promises of God; they will come to pass. When the King had a dream, the same butler who had forgotten him remembered and repented. Joseph came out at the right time and it was straight to the palace. When God brings you out, it will be straight to the palace in Jesus’ name. Don’t lose hope; God has not forgotten you. Notice this verse doesn’t say that just obedience will cause you to eat the good of the land; it says we have to be willing and obedient. In other words, God isn’t just concerned with our actions. He’s looking at the motives of our hearts. He doesn’t want us to be robots. He wants us to know Him and obey Him because we love Him. He wants us to understand His goodness and kindness which draws our hearts toward Him. He wants us to receive His love that causes us to respond to Him with love and obedience in return. Don’t just serve God out of obligation today. Don’t just read the Word because you think you have to. Instead, open your heart and see His goodness. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.” (Mark 4:8, NIV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria When somebody calls you something, either good or bad, that seed is planted in the soil of your mind. However, you get to determine whether or not that seed takes root and grows. When you dwell on what was said, you are watering the seed. You’re giving it a right to become a reality. That’s why it’s so important to have a disciplined thought life. It’s great when people tell you, “You’re blessed. You’re talented. You’re going to do great things.” Water those seeds. Meditate on those thoughts throughout the day. That’s what you want to become a reality. Too often, we water the wrong seeds. We dwell on what the negative people say. The naysayers can’t make a seed take root in your life. All they can do is sow the seed. You have complete control over what seeds are going to take root and grow in your own soil. Today, you might need to uproot some wrong seeds spoken over you. Let go of the negative and choose to dwell on the good. Dwell on what God says about you. Dwell on His word.
