Alaskan police arrested a woman and her friend for trying to save her cats life. In order to get to the vets for emergency medical attention, they trespassed through avalanche debris and the police arrested both women for dis-orderly conduct. She begged them to take her cat to the awaiting vet, the police said no and instead sent the dying cat to a shelter. The lady used her only phone call to call the vet who went immediately to the shelter and rescued the desperately sick animal. This is SO typical of Alaskan police.
