*Albert-Eden Local Board’s Local Events Support Fund* Albert-Eden Community Groups and Associations, The Albert-Eden Local Board is pleased to inform you that a new grant will be available in 2013/14 to allow community groups to apply for funding specifically for events. The new fund will aim to provide assistance to community led events that are held in the Albert-Eden Local Board area for the community and are in line with the Albert-Eden Local Board Plan priority of strong, safe, sustainable communities. The new grant will be run in two rounds, with the closing dates and decision meetings on the following dates: Round One closes 12th July 2013 Decision made by Board 28th August 2013 Round Two closes 31st October 2013 Decision made by Board 12th February 2013 The Board would like to welcome applications from all groups holding events that help achieve the Local Board priority. As the fund is modest, $20,000, please be aware that all grant applications will be assessed on the benefit to the community and the amount applied for. In the past the Board have funded smaller events which will allow for more events to be funded.
