Alberta Health Services will be cutting the Face-to-face Interpretation service starting June 28 and ask people to use over the phone interpretation. We are concerned because without this service, non-English speaking clients’ access to quality health care is not only jeopardized. Health care providers are also at risk of committing errors, violating human rights, compromised health outcomes, resulting in a higher cost due to delays in early diagnosis and treatment.
