Albinos in East Africa deal with a lot – racism, discrimination and even violence and trafficking. Recently, the Tanzanian government banned witchdoctors in the country in a bid to protect albino people and stop attacks on them. Witchdoctors in Tanzania and a few other African countries believe that body parts of albino people bring wealth and good luck. “Between 2007 and 2009, 44 people living with Albinism, including children, were killed in Tanzania, and 14 others in Burundi.
