Albuquerque protesters put police chief on trial. Dozens, including some with kids, marched with signs & a makeshift coffin inscribed with the names of people killed in recent years by Albuquerque officers. The Police Dept. is under scrutiny for 40+ shootings since 2010, 26 of them fatal, & the Justice Dept. has issued a harsh report over the agencys use of force. A mock trial was held for Chief Gorden Edan about failing to stop his officers from using excessive force. Demonstrators also stormed the office of Albuquerque Mayor Richard Berry recently, using crime scene tape and some even chaining themselves in place. bit.ly/1jGum1J
