He Dantes arrived Madrid a forth night to the summit date and was giving a rousing welcome by the executives at Madrid airport. This was followed by a heart warming reception dinner. The summit kicked off exactly 4pm at Ibis hotel with opening prayers said by the treasurer Onyeka Okorie and immediately followed by opening and welcoming speech by the President Deltans in Diaspora Madrid-Spain “Solomon Bishop Egede. He started by saying “Okowability” why the audience responded by saying “All the way”. He welcomed everybody to the maiden edition of the summit and also welcomed and appreciated the World-wide coordinator “Dantes Odogwu” for taking his time to honour the Diasporas in Spain invitation. He also appreciated Dantes for his enormous leadership and coordinator-ship abilities stating that it’s not easy doing such tasking venture. Going further,he talked about how Deltans in Diaspora has faired and also how much they are taking up the task and campaign of the distinguished Senator Arthur Okowa in ensuring that he emerges as Delta state governor come 2015. In his words;we have taken our time carefully to look and sample all aspirants indicating interest in the most exalted seat of Delta State come 2015; and realised that Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa” stood out as the best amongst all. This he buttressed with Dr. Okowa’s academic and charismatic leadership credentials. He said Dr. Okowa has acquired the required experience to lead the state and lead it right come 2015 and that he would be stood by to ensuring his successful emergence. To this,he thanked all and charged them to be steadfast and never give up as who God has ordained,he has ordained; and Dr. Okowa is the ordained of God. A rousing hands off applause as “Okowability” rented the air. It was now time for the World-wide President(Dantes Odogwu) of Deltans in Diaspora all the way from UK to speak. He was welcomed to the podium by the enormous crowed with chants of Okowabilty+Dantes=Victory with everyone standing to their feet. Songs like “Na Okowa we go follow and if nor be Okowa,it can never be like Okowa” were raised to further charge up the atmosphere. It took another 15mins before the already charged crowed could be brought to calm. $1.99/Mo. for 12 months of Economy Hosting at GoDaddy Dantes Odogwu began by shouting “Okowability” which was immediately followed by response from the crowed “All the way”. He began by saying that he was overwhelmed by the show of honour and respect accorded him right from the airport,then the dinner night organised in his honour and now the rousing reception and his symbolic ushering to the podium. He said he was further amazed by the renting of the air with the “Okowabilty” slogan. In his words;this goes along way to showing that we are on same page and are our brothers keeper. He thanked and appreciated them for all the efforts being put to ensuring that Deltans in Diaspora Madrid-Spain remained united and committed to the well-being of their father-land. He said;I am surprised with what I am seeing here today. Deltans in Diaspora,Madrid Spain,you have shown yourselves a real example of a people that are committed to a course and I must tell you that the distinguished Senator Okowa will hear of this. I am proud of you. He further appreciated and celebrated the executives and immediately dashed into his speech. He said;I am most elated to be part of you today as your special guest speaker at a time like this. See text from his message after observing all protocols. We Deltans and Nigerians at large over the years,have long yearned and sort for true leadership that will enthrone true democracy and its dividends. Without any iota of doubt,we all know that the Central and South governors of our dear Delta state have done their best especially in the past 18yrs counting from 1992(during Ibru’s time) and then 99-2014 to elapse by 2015. We all know that during this period under review,infrastructure which comprises roads and bridges,hospitals and health centres,referral centres,schools etc were built,job and empowerment opportunities were created amongst others. I wish to state categorically clear here that the past governments and the presently winding up one have really done their best and sure believe that the present will definitely end by adding more colours of achievement to its feathers. As the government of the present day winds up,I will like to inform you that we are already searching for a capable,credible and reliable replacement that will not only continue from where its predecessor stops;but a replacement that will take the state to its desired height. Some one with the required experience and requisite leadership credentials of humility,humane and just disposition. Someone with passion,dept and with the required heart of service to humanity. This suitable replacement I can assure you we have seen; and is no other than……and everyone echoed….”Okowability”. He now said now that you have found same with me,I think I may wish to end my speech here with “Okowability” all the way. Rounds of applause thundered through the hall to the amazement of some the whites who got attracted to the event through the publicity that was given and the chants of “Okowability”. Contributions were taken from the audience. He has really touched lives through his enormous contributions to mankind as his generosity speaks volumes Emmanuel Odudu Okowa is a detribalised Deltan and leader that is worthy of emulation.He’s accepted across the three Senatorial districts of the State. This positions him best for this position as governor of our dear Delta State. Ewere Martins speaks of Okowa’s humane disposition as one with a listening ear and a caring heart. He said and I quote “I recall him offering scholarship to over a hundred of persons and taking care of widows through monthly remunerations”. God will surely bless him and help make him our governor come 2015. Also,Prince Martins Dibie as he’s popularly called said I just watched his Delta north empowerment program of over 430persons within this short stay in the senate on youtube; and never believed that someone could do this. I looked at him as someone from another planet. Sewing machines,generators,cars,barbing stuffs,tricycles amongst others to 430persons!Infact,I am still shocked to my marrows. He truly deserves to be governor. Mr. Edgar contributed by saying Dr. Okowa’s credentials and achievements supercede that of others and as such,should be given the chance. To this,the summit was brought to a close with closing prayers and felicitaions.
