Alex will likely be in the hospital a couple days to receive antibiotics until they are comfortable there is no infection. There cant be! Updates on the clinical trial he needs still say they will be posting openings on Monday. Praying that OHSU finishes adopting the trial by tomorrow so they can advocate their hearts out for him come Monday. If they dont become administrators of the trial then we are forced to have Seattle childrens hospital try to get him a slot. Unbelievably we were told Seattle now has a child more familiar to them they want in the trial so if they can only reserve one slot Alex wont get in. Playing politics with our childrens lives is heart breaking, infuriating and down right wrong! How can the systems possibly be this broken. Lets pray it all works out.
