Alexis Sanchez latest: Arsenal very confident of completing deal for Barcelona forward As Alexis Sanchez continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal, leading journalist John Cross joins the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast to bring the latest on the Barcelona forwards future. Sanchez will be sold by the Spanish giants this summer as they make room for Luis Suarez and has been linked with a host of clubs across Europe. Liverpool were among those keen on the Chilean but are now understood to have ended their interest, and Cross claims Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is optimistic he will win the race for his signature. Arsenal are very confident of getting the deal done, he said. Their biggest rivals to this one is Juventus, but Im sot sure they have actually got the cash to stump up a deal. If Arsenal can agree it quickly, then there is a deal there to be done. It is not a done deal yet, but they do seem confident on it and hopefully they can get it over the line.
