Alfoso R. Garcia Nov 3, 2014 I couldnt put it into words about the powerful impact that Brian has had on my life. But I will try. I am a prisoner, yet I had the privilege of Brian coming into my life, through a Christian prison penpal ministry. He took the time out of his busy life to extensively correspond with me through letters. He even came to visit me in Folsom. He never judged me, but inspired me, he encouraged me to write a book after us sharing stories with one another (and I have). He treated me like a true brother in Christ and was always there for me. I obviously cannot tell you stories of the things we did together or places we went to out there, as all you have. But what I can tell you is that he gave me the greatest gift ever. Before Brian came into my life. I already believed in God but I wasnt living the right way for Him. I read the Bible daily but I didnt understand the full significance of what God did by sending His son Jesus Christ to earth to die for us. I didnt fully grasp the love that Jesus has for us. How he gave His life for us. Not because He owed us anything. But because He wanted to give us a gift. A gift that we didnt deserve. Brian was a shining light. He was (is) full of Jesus Christs love and grace. Brian didnt owe me anything. and I sure didnt deserve his fellowship. Plus I sure didnt deserve what he did for me. Yet, he genuinely cared for me and was a pure reflection of Jesus love... which had me in awe! Because of this, I have fully surrendered my life to God. And I am now living a FREE life. Yes I may still be in prison…but Jesus spirit lives in me. My relationship with Him is intimate and pure, I have His love and peace. Thus, making me FREE! Brian I sure miss you bro. But I am comforted to know that you are with Jesus, with a real pair of wings flying in heaven like the angel you are…Thank you for the gift you gave me and for your love. I will forever love you bro! Al All who knew Brian, all agree that he was amazing and smart (very). Smart enough to know to live for Jesus..the smartest thing for us to do is to simply follow his example.
