Alhamdulillah, we had an opportunity as political leaders from North Eastern to visit Mandera and preach peace to our two warring communities these past three days. I trust the residents of the county will heed our earnest appeal for cessation of hostilities even as we seek a longterm solution to the conflict. It is essential that the government portrays itself as an impartial arbiter in the conflict and we hope it has take note our expressions in that regard. Once again i appeal to members of both communities to desist from violence and embrace peace.
