Alhasan Albasri may Allah be pleased with him said try to maximise your GOOD friends because they ask Allah for forgiveness for their friends! He added when people go to Jannah and Jahanam, the people of Jannah start to entertain themselves and enjoy the blessing and beauty of Jannah, then someone remembers one of his close friends. He asked where is my friend? I cant find him in jannah? His companions tell him he is in Fire! So he becomes so sad Then Allah shows Himself to the people of jannah -may Allah make us among them- and asks them: are you happy with my rewards? They all answer yes our Lord we are happy Then Allah asks that man why are you sad -Allah knows all, but He wants the man to talk- The man says I am happy But my happiness is incomplete! Alaah again asks despite He knows all: why? The man says: I miss my close friend who is in Hell! So Allah commands the guards of Hell to get that friend out of Hell for the sake of his friend! The people if Hell start asking how could he get out of Hell? What happened? They are told by angels that he got forgiven! They ask: by whom? A martyr?! A prophet?! An angel?! They are told: no, none of these, but by his close friend! Our dear brothers / sisters, try to have as many as good friends so that they would ask for forgiveness for you and me.
