Alim Sherzamonov, civil society activist also head of the Social-Democratic Party (SDP)’s organization in Gorno Badakhshan, has reportedly been summoned to the State Committee for National Security (SCNS)’s office in Khorog, the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) for questioning. “I was summoned to the SCNS’s office in Khorog at 4:00 pm on June 24 and they took a written cognizance from me not to leave Gorno-Badakhshan,” Sherzamonov told Asia-Plus in an interview. He refrained from giving further details, saying that he signed a pledge of secrecy.
