Alison King has revealed more about the wedding drama that her character Carla Connor is having with fiance Peter Barlow. Carla has been stressed at having to organise the wedding alone as Peter deals with son Simons problems, but she doesnt know that his lack of interest has a lot to do with his growing feelings for Tina McIntyre who has been childminding Simon. Alison told Digital Spy that Carla fears Peter may have cold feet: I think Carla has got to a stage where she just cant wait to get Peter up the aisle and get that ring on her finger. She feels as though once thats done, she can breathe again. But she said her character had no inkling of anything going on with Tina: Aside from the trouble that Peter is having with Simon, she has no reason to believe that hes lusting after someone else - Carla and Peter still have an extremely passionate relationship. She added there was no way Tina would be invited to the wedding if Carla suspected Peter liked her: I dont think Tina would be sat in their wedding in that pretty little dress, I know that much! Carla really trusts Tina and she almost sees her as a friend. I think she sees a lot of her younger self in Tina and thats probably why she likes her so much. Alison revealed Tina would not be their only wedding problem, as Peter would be angry that Carla had reconciled with brother Rob and asked him to walk her down the aisle. She said: I think this is the final straw for Peter - he feels 2nd to Carlas devotion to her brother, despite Rob constantly screwing them both over. Peter tells Carla that in that case, he might not even bother turning up to their wedding.
