All, 5-11 Oct 2014 is observed as Fire Prevention Week. The theme for Fire Prevention Week is “Working Smoke Alarms Save lives, Test Yours Every Month!” For those who live on post you don’t have to worry about testing your smoke alarms. Your smoke alarms are connected to a fire alarm system that is monitored by the Fire Department and maintained by a certified Fire Alarm Maintenance Contractor. For those who live off post, ensure you have a working smoke alarm in each sleeping area, outside each sleeping area and on every level of the home, test them monthly and change the battery every six months.
