All Aboard for Belmont Pupils! Pupils in Year 8 from Belmont School took a very special trip recently. They took a ride on a steam train from Rawtenstall, where the school is based, to Bury. While in Bury, they visited the Art Museum and were able to complete some worksheets provided by staff there. Two of our pupils, Ellis and Jordan began copying paintings of their own accord! We hope to sell them for several million! In addition, all the pupils enjoyed having a go on some ancient typewriters - part of a modern art installation. Afterwards they had lunch in an Italian restaurant, we may have overdone the pizza and pasta though as four boys fell asleep on the way home! On returning to Rawtenstall, pupils had a chance to shovel coal into the boiler - it must have been close to 100 degrees in there as it was a very warm day! The sun was shining and behaviour was exemplary! Thanks to Mr. Cesarion, Mrs. Pillay, Mr. McQuoid and Mr. Howarth for a brilliant day out!
