All I can say, is Im really Trippin on something at the moment, an interesting day so far! Last October, my father died. For the most part we were estranged the past 10 years-long story... When my father died, (they lived in California, me in Texas) my step-mother was really acting wacky weird to me and my nephews. It was all so bizarre... It still is. I figured she may not have even contacted my Dads 2 brothers and let them know he died. I found one of them on facebook- my uncle (my Dads younger brother) who I have not seen or talked to since the late 1990s and sent him a message. I never ever heard back from him, and thought maybe he was no longer alive as well. This morning, by accident, I came across the unanswered message I sent him, and noticed it still hadnt been read. However, there was recent activity on his facebook page-he is alive! My message ended up in his other facebook inbox, so he must have never seen it. I also found he has a YouTube page, with him singing/playing guitar to original songs he wrote, some of his art, I found out he wrote a book, and now lives in Costa Rica! He was very creative, and if there is any genetic connection of creativity and genes, I had to have gotten all mine from him... I sort of always thought that growing up. Watching him today online singing, playing guitar, and reading some of his writings, beliefs, seeing some of his art, it gave me such goosebumps all over! My father and I were opposites in personality. Watching my Uncles body language and reading about his life, things I didnt know at all, it hit me like a brick. We are so much alike, more than I EVER knew. I tried to contact him again, and really hope I hear back from him. I didnt get to see him much growing up... But I was always drawn to his creativity, making an early connection to my own. Last October when I saw his FB page he had a lot of his paintings there. I didnt see them there today. Hes an incredible artist.
