All I hear about on Issue 6 is whether or not to develop Water Works park. I personally think its not a bad idea to develop what is being proposed. But I would still vote Yes, because I dont think its acceptable for a single person to approve or deny the sale of our PUBLIC parks. Even if you want this particular development, and even if you trust the current elected officials, do you trust the officials in 2020? How do we know they wont just sell all remaining parks? A decision as big as this needs to be a vote EVERY time. Whether youre for or against the WW project, your vote should still be Yes unless you have a blind trust in all future politicians. Issue 6 is NOT whether or not to develop WW park. Its about whether citizens should have a say in the sale of public parks. Seems the obvious answer is Yes, they should. If you want the WW project like I do, awesome! Lets vote for it when IT is on the ballot. This, however, is not that item.
