All I keep hearing of is people , young people at that, being diagnosed with Cancer. Its heartbreaking, when you look at your own friends and family you have lost, what i would like to know is with all the millions and millions good people raise for Cancer charities, this disease still claiming so many otherwise fit and healthy people? The technology ( scans ) now helps to save people, if it happens to be operable which a lot are not, but how much closer are we to having a cure !!!! I lost my dad and his 2 brothers , in the 80s they didnt have the resources or the knowledge they have today, and definately not the scans , so why is it more and more and more, younger people dying. A good friend of mine was fortunate enough to be able to go to America for treatment for a brain tumour, privately funded, and she is here to tell the tale, if they can do that in America, and cure brain cancer why cant they do it here, why is it a death sentence? Its all so wrong, but when is it going to change and where on earth is all the fundraising money going? Rant over just feeling upset as this week have heard of 3 more people all under 40, with young families who may not be around to see their children grow up. xxxxxx
