All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary and former MP chief minister Digvijaya Singh on Saturday said he will keep raising the issue of Professional Examination Board (PEB) scam until the bigwigs involved in the racket get punished and are sent to jail. Singh said he will continue to fight over the scam jab tak CM ki chhutti na ho jaye (until chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan quits). He was speaking to journalists during his visit to Bhopal on Saturday. The former Madhya Pradesh CM alleged said that special task force (STF) has been soft on the high-profile persons. The excel sheet, which is the major evidence, has name of Uma Bharti more than a dozen times but she has not even been interrogated by STF, he said. While Sanjeev Saxenas name was mentioned just once, he is in jail, he further added. Saxena is a local politician. The same document also mentions Mrs in front of certain candidates who were recommended to officials of PEB. Who is this Mrs who had recommended these candidates? asked Singh. He said while students are lodged in jails, not just the bigwigs but even the middle-men have been saved and are moving freely. The excel sheet which had names of candidates who were passed by recommendation or payment of money, was recovered from Nitin Mahidra’s computer. Mahindra was principal system analyst with the PEB and is in jail. The excel sheet is part of the charge-sheet filed by STF in the court. Notably, Digvijaya Singhs petition regarding PEB scam is being heard in the high court.
