All Ireland U21 Hurling Semi Final Preview: Saturday 23rd of August Clare v Antrim, 4pm, Thurles, LIVE ON TG4 A repeat of the 2013 final in which Clare blew Antrim away and the game was basically over at half time. Judging by the bookies this game could be over after 10 or 20 minutes. Clare are 1/500 to win which surely has to be one of the biggest odds in an All Ireland Semi Final. Antrim are 16/1 to overcome the Banner. So is there any hope for Antrim. Well there is hope just ask Wexford last year who they defeated in the semi final. Stranger things have happened but honestly cant see it. Clare hammered Cork in the Munster Final in a game which Colm Galvin put in an excellent display. Tony Kelly and Bobby Duggan also played well. In defence senior stars Jack Browne and David McInerney are the leaders and Jamie Shanahan also a senior panelist is hurling well. Antrim had a very easy win over Down defeating them by 30 points and scoring 7-17 in the process. Antrim senior star Ciaran Clarke hit 1-06 that day. Niall McKenna, Daniel McKernan and Stephen McAfee are all senior stars aswell and all will line out in the forwards on Saturday. In defence Jackson McGreevey and Eoghan Campbell are the leaders and these will have to be on top of there game to stop Tony Kelly, Aaron Cunningham and Bobby Duggan. So to the prediction, I hate to say it but this could turn into a rout and Clare would win by 30 points if they wanted to. However Clare if they are winning by 10 at half time can see them using the bench. Clare to come out on top. Verdict: Clare 15-20 points
